BEANO'S REVIEW 15.03.17
There's nothing like a mid-week pick-me-up in a sunny courtyard with the love of your life...especially if people are bringing you delicious food. I've been to Beano's often enough to know that I'm going to like whatever comes out of the kitchen, but today was particularly special. It was a perfect lunchtime mix of sunshine, bubbly conversation, fragrant green tea and our favourite dishes.
My Green Thai Curry with Crispy tofu was dense and flavoured with fresh herbs which made what is considered in my book a 'comfort food' a light enough choice for such a warm day. I believe that the addition of the almost Tempura Tofu is what makes this dish a winner. My Husband offered me a bite of his Seitan Wrap...and I took two hulking mouthfuls as one definitely wasn't enough. This new addition to the menu (Crispy Seitan, Leaves and Satay Sauce in a light Wrap, served with Leaves, Sweet Chilli Dipping Sauce and Satay Dipping Sauce) is going to fly out the door this Summer - I think that Beano's should consider a Seitan-based hole-in-the-wall where you can get your wrap to go so you can eat it at the nearby harbour or beach!
